IS there a cockpit view for 2 player?

Almost gonna buy my GT5, only 3 hours away. One question: can you switch to a cockpit view while on 2 player split screen mode?

I remember reading in another thread that there isn't. Not having to render the interiors is probably one of the things that keep the level of detail up during split screen though.

I'm not 100% sure but I believe that I read a few weeks ago that in 2-player mode the performance was kept at a reasonable level by the omission of some smoke effects, the omission of interior views and lower LOD scenery beyond the trackside.

Whether or not these will still be rendered fully in photomode (i.e. at leisure) I don't know.
