This game has the potential to be one of the greatest racing games ever made, but that potential is locked behind barriers that make no sense. Forget about not being able to add a turbo set up to an American car or a Porsche that didn't come from the factory with a turbo, but you can add a customizable computer to a 1960's car that has a carburetor and no computer.

The tire choices that shouldn't be in the game at all. Why have 3 categories of "sports" tires and comfort tires? The hard compound feels like you're driving on ice with the amount of understeer. The ridiculous roulette tickets that give you a chance to win a prize you don't want or have to buy a car you'll never drive to use the part it gave you. Keeping engine swaps hidden behind the chance that is a roulette ticket. Everything that can make this game great is hidden behind barriers that have zero logical consistency. You should be able to buy an engine and put it in a car instead of relying on chance. The customization shouldn't be so generic that it makes zero sense. The only saving grace to this game is sport mode and most of the time you're dealing with people who don't realize this is a game and it's okay to let someone who is faster than you pass you.

I'm guessing the next game will hopefully fix these issues and this game is the, we have to release something while we're revamping the entire game. Hopefully you'll be able to buy whatever engine and put it in a car of your choosing. Allow people to adjust their suspension in sport mode, and fix the penalty system where it actually makes sense. You hit a wall on one lap so they give you a penalty to serve on the next lap that ruins your entire race while you watch the person that shoved you into a wall carry on to finish right in front of you after catching back up to them after your serving your penalty.

The developers have a choice, to either go the route of the other racing games or keep the same foundation they had with Gran Turismo of the 1990's and keep adding little changes that don't change the essence of the game. This game has the potential to be amazing but something is keeping it from being so. They are trying so hard to not be Need For Speed or Forza that they are keeping the game from being more than what it is.

Just my opinion and thoughts.
