1931 Walter Royal. Walter was a Czech car manufacturer active between 1911-1937 (although the company continued through 1951 building other things including engines for fire trucks.) The Royal was a luxury car powered by a 5869cc 60° V12. Only made in 1931-2, between three and six were produced. Up until 2017, no one was sure if one had survived. Thankfully one surfaced that year after undergoing a complete restoration.

Another Czech car, this is a 1939 Aero 50 Dynamik Special Roadster by Sodomka. Sodomka only built six of these lovely roadsters on the chassis of the Aero 50. Only two are known to exist. A blue one in a museum, and this one, the only one in private hands. It survived the war hidden in a barn, then was shipped to the US. It was discovered in Arizona around 1980 and restored. The wildest thing about this car is the engine. While a 2-liter inline-4 is fairly run of the mill, this is a two-stroke. I would love to find a video of this car with the engine running.

Indianapolis-based Cole built about 40,000 cars between 1902 and 1925. Only 79 are known to still exist. They introduced a 346 cid V8 in 1915. This 1915 model is one of only two V-8 models from that year to still exist.
