One more. Two Corgi 1/43 Batmobiles and a unknown scale tow truck that may or may not have something to hide.

Could you help me make a miniature Albert Park for 1:64 scale cars?

Some of my models. I started collecting pre-Covid, on eBay, antique shops, and car boot sales.

I wouldn't buy any 1:43 unless they were less than £10, and same with 1:24/18 they had to be around £10ish or less. I have stopped collecting now as prices are stupid, it's no longer fun to shop around online

I collect primarily 1:43 Race cars (Touring, Rally, Endurance)

But treated myself to some OttoMobile 1:18 models recently. Got the Laguna, 406, Meg R26 and Octavia VRS.

Absolutely love that 406. Beautiful.

Had to have it! Even if it costs a bomb shipping from France to UK nowadays. Gotta stop myself going crazy on Ottomobile site :(
I've noticed that the cheapest price for an Otto model is when they are brand new. There was a '98 Laguna BTCC that I was watching on ebay but it got too expensive for me. There is a 405 Supertouring that I would really like but again, the price is way too high. The prices for models has gotten silly now. Which is a shame.

You have a great collection by the way.

New Home; so new set up for the collection; this time I have a room dedicated to my hobby :D

Now I have to buy more display cabinet because I have some more 1/43 still stored :dunce:.
Holy cow. This is incredible. How many Porsche GT3's do you have though 😄

Definitely need a photo of each of your cabinets to admire them all

Got the 1/18 Porsche 911 (992) Dakar in a gorgeous Shade Green from Spark. I just love this car, something about an off-road 911 fascinates me. I mean, can you imagine any other company doing this sort of thing? Wait... what's that? Lamborghini made the Huracán Sterrato? Oh what a wild time to be alive.

Made a collage of all the 1/18 models I got last year lol

Kilo Works Audi RS6 Avant
Minichamps Porsche Panamera Turbo S
Kyosho Samurai Nissan 300ZX IMSA GT
CMC Mercedes-Benz 300SLR Uhlenhaut Coupé
TSM Top Speed Acura ARX-05 DPi
GT Spirit Dodge Charger Hellcat Widebody
CMR Aston Martin DBR1
CMR Porsche 917K
GT Spirit Ferrari F40LM
Top Marques Ferrari 333SP
AUTOart McLaren 720S
GT Spirit Nissan R390 Roadcar
UT Models Mercedes-Benz SLK230 Kompressor AMG
Norev Porsche 992 911 GT3

Here we have a 1/18 Porsche 911 (996) Carrera 4S in Seal Grey Metallic from GT Spirit. This color combo is just gorgeous, had to have this model.

Unfortunately it suffers from what seems to be a common issue on these GT Spirit models, the rear window is warped and not fitted properly.

How good or bad are IXO models? I may have just impulsively bought a cheap 1:18 Pfaff 911GT3R made by them and I have no clue how they are quality wise.

I have an Ixo 991 RSR and it is pretty decent, though is sealed like most other modern race cars. Don't pay too much for one though, as I got my RSR for around $50-ish from Germany lol.
Anyway got a couple 1/43's at Daytona, along with a pre-ordered 1/18 arriving:

So noob questions here, hoping to get some guidance as I'm looking into starting a collection of model cars. Preferably would like keep things under $75 per cars. Is that budget good enough for 1/24 scales? How far can I get with that scale model? by that I mean are there a lot of options in that range? Or should I look into the 1/43s instead?

1/43 is way easier to get cars in than 1/24. Most cars are produced in 1/64, 1/43 and 1/18. 1/24, 1/12, etc. are more niche and limited in variety. $75 can get get you a high priced 1/64 Hot Wheel, a mid range 1/43 or a cheap 1/18.

I personally don't restrict myself in size, manufacturer, produced by company, etc. and don't really understand why people do this instead of just collecting the models they like. So my advise would be just buy the models you like. Worst thing what could happen would be having your favourite cars in different sizes :D
